Chapman's locales are real: the Grand Canyon, Smoky Mountains,
Alps, Okefenokee Swamp, Big Sur. The holes are surreal, like the
85-yard par-2 17th, high above Wall Street, with a concave green
that's been "the scene of many aces." At No. 11, in Antarctica,
a golfer humorously lugs his pullcart through the snow to the
rocky tee for a shot through an ice bridge. The 18th is a doozy
par-6, 947 yards along the treacherous and slippery face of
Iguassu Falls in Brazil.
